voluntEer at iowa eats

You're invited to join the ranks of many dedicated people volunteering with Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area and our partner organizations. Volunteers supplement staff and bring creativity and vitality to our organization while meeting new friends, learning new skills, and even building resumes. More than 100 volunteers are needed for Iowa Eats Food & Drink Festival, benefitting Silos & Smokestacks. Volunteers are vital to the event. We are incredibly excited to offer a variety of opportunities for volunteers to get involved. 

Volunteers are needed on the day of event, Saturday, April 5, at the Waterloo Convention Center in downtown Waterloo. A volunteer shift is typically 2 hours between 10 am and 5 pm. We are in need of ticket sellers and takers, vendor support, demonstration session hosts and room monitors, and ID checkers. No previous experience needed. Training will be provided.

As a thank you for volunteering, you will receive free admission to the event and an apron.
